Trim the wick
Before every light, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This keeps the flame happy and helps prevent soot.
Your candle's first chapter
A few easy habits for a beautiful burn—and a mug you'll be excited to keep afterward.
Burn it beautifully
Every Kenzi's Kandle is hand poured with its mug's second life in mind. Follow these steps to enjoy the candle safely and protect your future favorite cup.
Before every light, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This keeps the flame happy and helps prevent soot.
For the first burn, let the wax melt evenly across the surface—usually 2 to 4 hours. Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time.
Place your candle on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, pets, kids, curtains, and anything that can catch fire. Never leave it burning unattended.
Stop burning when about ½ inch of wax remains. Let the mug cool completely before you start its second chapter.
The mug's second chapter
Once the candle is cool and finished, gently remove the remaining wax and wick tab. Wash the mug thoroughly with warm, soapy water before using it for a drink. If any wax is stubborn, let it soften with warm water—never put an open flame near it.
